Oh Well Oh Well I Still Hope For The Best

Get some sleep and we’ll talk tomorrow
Maybe then everything will change
You’ll forget what you said and I’ll forget your creasing brow
I’ll pretend it’s not black and white but beige

Coldplay serenades in my background as I try to shut my eyes
His angelic voice singing, “I’ll try to fix you”
And it struck me what if this is it and there's only goodbyes?
Oh well oh well I hope we make it through

Another track comes into play
“When you get what you want but not what you need”
How hard could it be to compromise for a day?
I’m losing my mind trying to understand your creed

Tomorrow when we wake up, we’ll see
Did we fail or pass the test, that’s our quest
I wish I didn’t have to have this mini heart-attack spree
But then again I say, ‘oh well I still hope for the best’.
