My heart had so long been but a silken thread of shadow, stretched taut by time’s turning: poised, impassive~ a silenced note: this strop without accord.
In slumber whispered your heart to mine songs of silence, serene belonging; of union lost ~ hearts unbound; shadows dancing, souls entwining.
Now sings this chord, so tuned by times. Resonating, thrums the calling, and Passion's wings lash the air to stay aloft unquenched and yearning.
Yet in the dark no beacons burn. So drowns the spirit in fluid churning. Aloft, the wings that buoy my heart: marooned between shadowed dreams and silent pools of crystal blue regard.

About this poem:
Wrote this in the course of completing my first fiction novel "Chalice" after a lucid dream in which I was reminded of a vow I had made early in life and was called upon to live/embody it.
It is always tough when you do not conform to what people think as proper thinking. Think of the wonders all would see if they left human constraints behind. Alas, they only go so far. I say ride Valkyrie, lift your spirit to the sky and follow your destiny. I do it. One day I shall stand in the Paradise with my Lady Love and she shall hear sung, the songs of old. Once touched by the light of Soul all changes.
You are very kind. I am but a reflection of the Light that sees its Self in these shadowed whisperings. This poem came *through* me, not "from" me. I am as much a poet as a pencil can be a writer. Still, your company is a great blessing and I thank you.

We have a real poet in our midst. Very impressive. So much lovely imagery in this. It floats and lingers in ones consciousness. Very well written.
