Without title

***
You walk with a childish grin – mere girl,
And wherever you go you pose proudly and stalk,
And the apple - the one in right hand that you hold -
It becomes you as flower that’s stuck in your locks.

You stop all of sudden, you're pale, eyes amazed,
On rare occasion you smile, feeling great.
How fair you are seems you don’t understand,
Meaning you really know – it is true, it's a fact.

Oh, I walk on this earth unperturbed,
Though at times I am cheerful, glad,
And I seem not to know whether I love you or not,
Meaning I really care, it's fact.

***
I remember once in a grove moonlit night,
You promised with smile me to love – t’was so nice!
I believed, for in world there’s a lie, sweetest lie,
Which you wish to believe, of which prey you become.

Now that this moonless night for my sake you light up,
With smile you that promise once made have denied,
I never believed, for in world some truth’s hard,
One you’ll hate to believe, one you'll never give trust.

***
I remember your paleness, the whisper of lips,
Making promise: “I’ll follow you down to tomb,
Where love is so pure, so speckless,
Where love is forever, for good…”

Everybody is gone, you’re the only one left,
And I see now the shadows on long journey bent.
It is time, for my grave has been waiting for days,
Are you ready, my sweetheart, to follow my steps?

This is quite a touching and moving story dear, and a
magnificent write at that. I could feel the joy, the hope,
and the despair all leading to some infinite beyond.
Human hearts are really fashioned alike and the big
questions in life inflame the same hopes and desires
in us all.kiss

So true, and I never thanked you, Cafe, for the comment! "... regret for the things we did not do ... is inconsolable." (Sydney J. Harris) sad flower

He knows Marikia - he is looking down from Heaven and smiling at you right now. Take care my friend.

Thank you, Kathy, Beautiful Soul! "Sometimes, only one person is missing, and the whole world seems depopulated." (Alphonse de Lamartine) - this is how I feel right now! hug

I know Marikia. When my Mom died - the whole world looked different through my eyes. Driving down the road I felt as though I was in a foreign land or a different planet. Kind of like the show "The Twilight Zone". Nothing looked familiar to me even though I have lived in this area my whole life.. that is God's way of numbing us until our minds accept and process the loss during the blinding grief that follows. Hard to explain - but it is part of the grieving process.

Take care dear friend. Cafe would want you to celebrate his life here on Earth and his new one in Heaven until you two meet again.

Thank you, Kathy, for finding time for this little talk. Yes, I am looking forward to meeting Cafe some day. Though we met only on this site and nowhere else, still “we don't meet anyone by chance” (Avijeet Daswhat), so the sequence will follow no matter when. The most reassuring prospect!
