The old family Bible,we take it for granted.
It's always there on the coffee table in the living room.
We look at it,brush it off,and always say,I'll start reading it soon.

Our intentions are sincere,but we often have something else to do,
or we're just too tired.
We seem to forget,that old Bible is our guidance,our strength,
and God's Holy word that keeps us inspired.

Oh yes,we reverence that old family Bible with it's torn,yellow pages,
and it's stained outer appearance,
but do we realize it's importance?,the power,? and it's deliverance?

We make sure it's dusted and always sits square in the center
of the table.
It seems that it's just a piece of furniture added to the rooms decor
Again,we seem to forget,that the old family Bible can keep
our lives stable,...and it's Holy words in our hearts,...
we should cherish and adore.

That old family Bible isn't just a centerpiece,it's so much more,...
more than what it is used for!

All we need in our lives is freely given to us in there!
We just need to open our hearts,study and read,..
and spend much more time in prayer!

That old Bible is much more than a family heirloom,
it's God's Holy word made alive,....
peace, joy,comfort,and strength,...it's all in there,
God simply wants us to comply.

So,don't walk on by, pick it up,open it,read and pray,...
and when you do,I'm certain God will speak to you today!
