Poems from my Youth: (1) - I Live

I live
When in wonder
I look around me
And behold
The Beauty of Nature

I live
When in Quietude
I lay down
And contemplate
Beauty in Life

I live
When I see
An act of Love
No matter how small
It may be

I live
When in meditation
I am transported to a world
Where Truth and Beauty
Reign supreme

I wrote this when I was nineteen.
It defines my love for Nature, Beauty and Truth
which has remained unchanged.

This has the feel of an *early starter*.... Pondering and observing the Beauty, Grandness, and Perfection of Nature at such a young age is not an everyday thing.

I remember myself, as young as 6 or 7, looking up at the stars through the skylight in our kitchen... thinking about the infinity out there, and how insignificantly humble we should all feel.

Thank you, twin, for your comment. I actually felt a strong overwhelming attraction to the beauty of Nature as a young child. It was something I kept to myself as I could not speak to my friends who were more interested in regular "boyhood things".
The following is part of the recollection of the memory of a childhood "Nature" experience:

"Tropical sunshine
streaming down
from a clear blue and white sky
with fleecy white clouds
edged with wisps of mist
like giant grains of popcorn
drifting slowly by
way up in the sky"
