Remember the Days!

Remember the Days!

Come skip with me

Popcorn, peanuts and balloons

Soft warm breezes in the air, sunshine in the sky

Children singing child like songs, eating pumpkin pie

Flowered fields of Yellow daffodils, and wild flowers of blue

Picking a bouquet of their loveliness and giving them all to you!

Splashing waves upon the shore, pebbles on the beach

Skipping flat stones through the water’s crests

Watching them skipping far out of reach

Walking hand and hand with you, watching fishes leap

Laughing at natures reflections down in the water deep below

Sailing in a skiff, with your hair flowing wildly, ribbon drawn loosely in a bow

Telling you how much I care for you, of course this you already know

Popcorn, peanuts and balloons come walk with me and play

We will live like two happy kids
Skipping all the way!

Hi, JimEee,
It's nice when one has days to remember - and even better that one can still remember them - and better, yet, when one can write a sweet poem about them! Hopefully, we will all be Still a Child at Heart until it's our time to go. Thanks for sharing Remember the Days! with us.

I think perhaps your profile picture is enhanced
with yellow daffodils in the background
of your smile!

Thank you ever so much for traveling
down the path of childhoods remembrances'.
