Fire Tears

When my tears became lost
Fallen into an ocean of despair
Salt mixed with salt so shared
Indistinguishable look stared

Out from a poor head burst
Like a swollen cloud of rain
My eyes no longer contain
Such a gushing flood of pain

Tears of love, quenched steel
Pulled like a glowing sword
From an ancient hearth roared
And an aching heart could heal

Love is a burning inferno
Our tears like a lava flow
Down to the sea they go
Hardened, a long time ago

"Love is a burning inferno" .... Indeed... You said pain is pain until we can love again ..... reminds me of a lady who told me "be thankful that you are hurting because it means you have love in your heart. If you don't have love... You won't feel a thing"....

Excellent Poetry Chris !
Loosing love sure can cause a searing pain --but if given the opportunity , we should still show courage , take a risk ,and let a hardened heart melt, rather than perhaps miss out on somebody truly wonderful in the future
