How I wish It was Yesterday When I would dance the night away To music that was really cool From the guys from Liverpool Ringo, Paul, George and John Who fascinated everyone From Europe to the U.S.A. They had a captivating sway They played a rocking beat That made me move my feet From I Wanna Hold Your Hand To Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band From Hey Jude with Na Na Na Na To Desmond and Molly Ob La Di Ob La Da Yes how I wish It was Yesterday When I would dance the night away

About this poem:
As Morgen said, it seems like the "blues bug" has struck the corner lately. I thought I would brighten it up a bit with a happy "fun" poem. Perhaps others can do the same.

Hi beautifulyou
Thank you for your comment. You look like you have a few dance moves of your own. Put on some Beatles music and let yourself loose. I am sure you will enjoy it. (Ob La Di Ob La Da was my favourite tune for dancing) Have a beautiful day!

Hi EyeToLensToPage
Thank you for your comment. The Beatles brought about a revolution in music. I am glad to see that you love their music which was before your generation. Have a great day!

Hi Socrates, Love this poem - the Beatles are one of my favorites - and very interesting to hear how you enjoyed Dancing the Night Away! And, I think it goes without saying, this is very nicely written.
For ages, my favorite Beatles' song was "I Wanna Hold Your Hand". But in the last 10 yrs., it changed to "From Me to You".
Very enjoyable(and as I was enjoying this poem, then enjoying remembering some of the songs, an idea occurred to me that I'm going to try out - will just have to see if 'Me' Can Work It Out now )

Lovely poem....the joy that dancing can bring is priceless wetter we can still strut our stuff as we age like we could in years gone by or not I guess lots cannot but in we dance however we can ...a friend of mine renewed her wedding vows in a wheelchair and she and her husband took to the dance floor her spun her round in the chair and embraced her ...was very touching.... Dance how you can ..:)))))))
