Legend Of The Black Dove (Part 12) Final

(Part 12) "Terminal Paradox"

The story so far.... John Norrington, only survivor of the
coach tragedy, manages to find sanctuary in a cave
and comes in contact with a large meteorite that had
crashed there hours before. He collapses to the ground
and a few minutes later feels revitalised and gains
new powers and abilities. Returning to the Norrington
manor, he creates a costume for his disguise as the
Black Dove and then goes in search of his friend's killers.
He finally catches up with Jack Wild and his outlaws.
Norrington and Jenkins board a ship. They eventually set sail
back to England. On their way back the ship is caught in
strange fog, which transports them into the future, then
to the past, and finally back to their present, and they are
back home. Everything seems normal but for the fact it is
one day prior to the coach tragedy. Norrington prepares
to alter the events that would follow, As the outlaws
are coming closer to the coach with their guns drawn Jack
Wild cries to the passengers to get out of the coach,
Norrington leaps out the coach and jumps onto Jack Wild.
The other outlaws fire at Norrington. He falls to the ground
and lies there lifeless. While the outlaws chase after the
stagecoach to capture its passengers, the King's guards
approach from the opposite side and give help to
Norrington. who regains strength and disguised as the
Black Dove chases the runaway coach. He has very
little time now for stopping the coach.
Climbing on top of his horse he takes a leap and descends
on the roof of the coach, which is now rounding the bend and
heading for the edge of the cliff. He applies a hand brake and
flames leap up from the wheels. The steering connection to the
horses snaps up and the coach grinds to a halt. The Black Dove
climbs down to check on the passengers. Finding his wife Beth
alive he smiles at her, then collapses to the ground. She climbs
out of the coach. Lifting his mask she sees in amazement that
the man was her husband John. She kisses him and asks, why
he is wearing this outfit, he tells her that he is the Black Dove
he wanted to prevent the tragedy from occurring again. Then
he dies and disappears right before her eyes, Beth is in tears
kneeling on the ground. Moments later John Norrington
materialises inside the coach, wondering where he had been.
Beth turns round and discovers her man is alive, but how
can this be? She is beside herself with joy as they succeed in
repairing the coach and continue their journey to Cornwall.
The Black dove had served his purpose: by saving his friends
he had created a new timeline which never included the
heroic Black Dove, as in this timeline the Black Dove
has never really existed. THE END

About this poem:
This is the final part to the epic serial poem "Legend Of The Black Dove" I hope all the poets who read this and followed the story enjoyed my efforts in trying to bring my character to life and all the excitement of his escapades, this story was a tribute to the cinema serials that operated around the world making many children and adults happy, the movie cliff hangers ran from the 1930s to 1956, My idea was a modern offshoot to these classics.
