I stumbled across a bay today Hidden but not that far away A mirrored tide lapped its shore Upon cockle and shells galore Children frolicked within its charm Sending ripples amidst the calm Pohutukawa's loomed with shade While foreshore owners had it made For not far out a little way A Frenchman's cap was on display Carved out of rock and ancient time Low tide vision it was sublime Thirty metres high or maybe more A pinnacle of nature to adore Gracing the bay with all it's might Matakatia a welcoming sight.........

About this poem:
Another hidden gem amongst the amazing beauty of nz...............
a pinnacle carved out by nature in deed and yes...a welcoming sight...especially when it's waters lap one's feet...allowingone to really appreciate its beauty...it was lovely to share this little corner of the harbour with you..
Hi, Nuwahri61, A Frenchman's cap was on display… In nature, as in life, we often see what we want to see; and, if we are lucky, we are rarely disappointed. Thank you for sharing Matakatia a welcoming sight......... within this delightful verse.
