Never Faltered

My love has never faltered
Although you seem not to care
No longer can I turn your head
Except when my body’s bare
The scent upon my breast bone
Does not draw you to my side
Nor does the lace and satin
That leaves little left to hide
My heart is feeling lonely
My mind has packed its things
Off to wander aimlessly
Chasing a hopeless dream
My love has never faltered
But I must leave today
For you no longer give me reason
That makes me want to stay.

Cloudy, first of all welcome back. I have not seen you posted for a while and it sure is nice to see you and this is so strong a conviction of not wanting to be in the same old rut anymore. Good for you, be strong and do what you must. Thanks for this read.

Heartfelt write CS. It can hurt to feel neglected or taken for granted. I can honestly say that Ive been on both sides of this matter but I ultimately learned the value of appreciating what stands before me and alway letting them know. Regards … Jessewine
