Remission again… I breathe relief ,
Life stolen back from a callous thief ,
Gods air tastes fresh , lungs gorge with plenty ,
Warm blood returns to a heart once empty ,
My body rises up from foetal repose ,
To bended knee my gratitude to expose ,
I raise my bowed head and tilt my face ,
Up to God who granted this new found Grace ,
It is He not me who deserves the praise ,
For making this Cancer a Blessing in ways ,
Armed with appreciation like never before ,
I know now I’m ready to open that door ,
To another new beginning , my worries to depart ,
I quicken my step…can’t wait to start .
