I honestly don't know from whence I appeared, Just a lost soul from a crossroad that found himself here, So pull up your barstools and tip up your beers, There's noone that knows you here, Noone that cares, It's the wrong time for a long rhyme, I'll keep my lines short, The price of this life seems too much to afford, With too much to do seems I'm screwed cross the board, And unfinished business just steers me off course, So I sing of a few things I need off my chest, We take drugs we make love wake up with regrets, Its a hard write of a hard life but thats just the deal, We're all grasping and searching for something that's real...
Hi, madtat29, ...a lost soul from a crossroad that found himself here...grasping and searching for something that's real... The fact that it's a Bar song makes this verse all the more poignant. Thanks for sharing.

Bravo Mad, excellent poem about the human condition, some of us will search till the day we die for something that's real. Enjoyed the read very much.
The regrets in life are hard to stomach some days, especially when I am at work. I do karoke every week and hardly ever get a response, seems the beer and the conversation win most of the time.
Sup Mc..i hear ya...hit the open mic sometimes and feel no love...but its a bar and people are there to drink..then again so am I so I don't mind...Do it for yourself bro..they hear you...
