Lust For Jewels

Lust For Jewels

There is a veil that's yet unseen,
That hides the light from open eyes;
It's everywhere we have been
But are fooled by it's disguise.

From the darkness came it's birth,
Where it's web of deceit makes fools,
For it covers the whole earth,
With greed and lust for jewels.

It's so fragile yet is unbroken,
It is a smile that hides a knife,
But those with hearts awoken
Are promised eternal life.
