Watcher in the night

Silent silhouette
marked against the sky
unmoving staring
into the murky darness
stands alone
the watcher in the night

Hushes wispers
ripple through the air
carried abroad
by flowing streams
heard only
by the watcher in the night

Mournful cries
echo into the dark
pounding hearts
beating out a lonely tatoo
sighing aloud
to the watcher in the night

Empty sobs
pounding through the streets
wailing sirens
screaming painful obsenities
weeping eys
from the watcher in the night
