Give me LOVE that gives me wings To fly higher than my dreams
Give me HOPE that gives me reasons To believe I am loved in all seasons
Give me COURAGE that makes me strong To quash my doubts and know I belong
Give me HONESTY that gives me faith To build my trust that once was trashed
Give me LAUGHTER that gives me fun and joy To smile, live life like a child with a toy
Give me TIME, undivided and QUALITY TIME To build memories where we both can shine
Give me at every opportunity the GIFT OF TOUCH That I may never forget the magic of your hands
Give me ASSURANCE in your words and in deed Keep them always that I may look up to you and heed
Give me RESPECT that gives me a sense of pride To do the same in return even when you're out of sight
Give me PASSION raging that stirs my whole being deep inside That I may keep you in my heart, where forever you'll reside!

About this poem:
From a grateful heart... to God and to my husband...Thank you so much!
All my life I longed for a simple man with a beautiful heart to build a simple but beautiful life with. God listened to my prayers, He has opened my eyes to see and appreciate what He has blessed me with. I am grateful, very grateful.
Sometimes we take too much time unwrapping God's gift...we get distracted by many outside forces...we look at the physical packaging, the wrapper, the ribbon...before we finally can see, admire, appreciate and cherish the gift inside!
Kathy, When I saw the title of this write, even before I read it, I had a very funny joke for a comment, but, as I read this very sincere and touching write, my heart was filled with deep respect and love for you and Nu, and what you two have...I have no jokes, just admiration and respect! Robert

Oriental This is beautiful, and touching, i feel every word and can see the love u both have through a faint cold morning mist of white silken light on a secluded beach to the gentle sound of tiny waves on the sand, russtleing up on the shores. This is a lovers nest, so happy for you both
Hi, orientalkoru, The only thing simple about What a Woman Really Wants is that, once those things listed in the poet's verse are shared between two people, life is simply more wonderful. It's great when two can face life's challenges amidst such gifts. Thanks for sharing.
Martina...thanks dear...but please don't rest your suitcase...I have been thinking about virtual tours through CS...so keep that suitcase handy dear...
Oh Robert...you can still add that funny comment...thanks anyway and hey good luck mate...I have nothing but respect for you in your decision to face your battles...Half the battle is won by having the courage to accept there is a problem...take care and see you soon...

@Redex Thanks for dropping in my dear lady... Sometimes we often forget to be thankful and grateful of many understated blessing we are given in life...
Hi Angel, it's late reply and not sure if this will get to you my friend but I hope that you drop by now and then. Thank you so much for your lovely comment... You mentioned about a lovers' nest and it made realise just how true that description is.. Imagine a bird building a nest... One stick at a time... Laborious but the bird won't stop until its nest is built... I hope you're well ... You take care.
