A Daunting Feast

Slipping along the silo's
taunted by shallow mouths
eating
pieces of my pride

longing for legs to stand
I fell to depths

Moving slowly up upon
them
Gathering strength,
strewn within my veins

Swallowing red wine I smiled
Knowing the beast,

Vile

I knew then
to run with
My life

A Private Strife
