two decades of trust lost
disappointing loyalty
hurts my heart

tears of grief in my eyes
trying to forget secrets
thoughts of betrayal
enter my mind
~ ~ ~
racing heartbeat in my chest
listening to the voice within
forever gone friendship
marks my soul
~ ~ ~
