These Dreams

Rainshine and sunfall
The night in the stars
A day of illusions
An hour too far

12 o'clock sun-dogs
Chasing the moon
Cast upon shadows
The walls of my room

And if it seems love
Is just frozen in steam
I'll be awaiting you
Drifting around through these dreams

Meadowdrift snowflowers
Cars in my ride
Hair all a-mess
It's so windy inside

Wild horse and tame flower
Isn't this real?
I'm having a moment
For just you to steal

I was hiking in the Wasatch mountains and it started raining, so I tucked my guitar away in its water-proof case and was just sitting there when the sun broke through a spot in the clouds and made a brilliant rainbow in the falling rain. I thought, hmm, rainshine and sunfall! And there it was! A cute little song born in a moment of whimsy!
