If Only

Quiet eyes on a winter's eve
Contemplating lonliness
Awaiting timid fantasy
That's just me, I guess

If I seemed too quick to share
This fragile heart, these secrets kept
Forgive me, for I know I err
By measure, once again, inept

Then, tangled in this tapestry
By silken hand and cedar loom
With fabric flowing in the breeze
A whisper in the floral gloom

So here I stand like glass in sand
My logic lost upon the sea
I press against another pane
And let 'if only' conquer me

About this poem:
I am re-posting this out of curiosity, it was the first one I posted but it wasn't noticed, even though I think that it is my best. It is about my first love (as if you couldn't tell!)
