Just One Slowburn Kiss.
Wandering lost, devoid love's fragrant scent,
My need for you so bad, you'd ne'er believe,
Cruel East wind bites my skin, without relent,
Dreams of you bring warmth, my pain relieve.
Nought I wouldn't give to hold you close,
And share with you this feeling bursting through,
To celebrate life's gems, I love the most,
Abundant Nature's flowers & birds.....and you !
The lyrics of my song deliberately plain,
Played from raw heart strings, no fancy script,
I prayed love soon to sate our yearning twain,
This heart for you, so 'oft a beat has skipped.
One slowburn kiss ! My eyes in yours to stray,
To trade my soul, such price I'd gladly pay !

Played from raw heart strings, no fancy script… Well, it's hard to get any fancier than a sonnet, one might say, especially one entitled Just One Slowburn Kiss.. Well done. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for taking the time
for such a special comment.
Very informative !
There are two problems though.......
1) I'm out of practice.
2) You're in England.
