Author: the one who trusts

I gave you my heart
I gave you my mind
I gave you my time
I gave you my loyalty
I gave up my dreams
I chose to remain
To be with you
To go through
Our growing pains
My whole life
In your hands
If that isn't trust
I don't know what is!

About this poem:

Most people leave us because they don't think were good enough for them. Most people choose to remain with us because they believe we're worth it. That alone should be enough indication as to where our trust and loyalty should belong. Because it's a tad painful when the ones we love keeps allowing those who chose to leave them mar our present.

trust is what eludes me, and it takes trust to gain trust, but it all starts with the amount of loyalty you want to contribute to trust. Beautiful, suscinct, thought provoking.
