~A Tree~

Sometimes I think that I
would like
to perhaps be a tree..
A weeping willow,
when I succumb
to bouts of melancholy,

And just hang my lifeless branhes,
barren,
for all the world to see..
So sanctified in my loneliness,
The weeping willow,
Woe is me.

A lovely poem.
Trees do convey a message, don't they??

"I think that I shall never see,
a poem as lovely as a tree.
A tree whose hungry mouth is pressed
against the new made mother's earth..."

QS so nice to see you again,I was also off the corner for sometime but this is the only way to release our pent up emotions.Yes dear trees do remind us of our lives, when green and pleasant to see it reminds us of youth, when flowering of happiness and adulthood, when bearing fruit, maturity and married life and kids, when cruel blasts come they break the branches just like our lives are broken and we grow old and gnarled.I wish I could put my thoughts about the tree of life into verse.
I loved these thoughts of yours.Thank you for sharing.thumbs up hug
