An Apple A Day Keeps The Doctor Away

Take care of yourself
It will save your health
You don't want to come to me
I give you pills that make you sick you see
I've sold my soul out to greed
It's piles of cold hard cash I need
Medical mistakes
You should know why there are so many for goodness sakes
We have to get as many patients through in day
That's the only way we will exceed a million a year in pay
So if your day turns to grey
And bills and threatening phone calls from collectors make you ill
The solution of course is to find some way to pay the bill
So take heed in what I say
An apple a day keeps the doctor away

About this poem:
It just seems that health care in this country has gotten evil and way too greedy.

So true, industry pharmacy paying doctors

for their holidays.

Today's doctors are business men/women
all for their common cause.

they are the legal day light robbers...
healthy people don't feed doctors
and.nurses ....but that the exception not the rule of thumb

hi mc,

no denying we have a system in place that fails to truly serve and, i'm not sure if anything birthed from 'system' can do that. the good news is, many are returning to the wisdom of ancestors by way of what and how we injest (anything). thanks for sharing rose

beautifulyou, thanks for your comment. We should ingest better things. I saw a commercial for blending fruits together to make a fruit drink. Call me old fashioned, but I'd rather eat a strawberry than drink it.rose
