forest

Hot sun
Sky blackened smoke
Rising
Heat and flame

Wall of heat heading this way
Smoke and heat
Fires rage gathers pace wind fans the orange flame
Gathers speed

Houses hidden within forest deep
Green and tranquial
Heat gathers wind fans the flame
Forest torch ed

The forest burn

Wayne,
This is outstanding!!

I was surprised at first to see the red, but it's brilliant, as you so accurately describe the fires- I lived in Oklahoma for a lot of years - and it's come so close- I could smell it... and drove into the thick smoke of one once...

Beautiful, descriptive write!applause
