So many kinds, each existing in a type of beauty called Humanity I've see the strong, the weak Known the ones who can lift you up And the ones who could bring you down Down..not always through cruelty, but because they have lessons to learn in life But many do not learn. And each carries his invisible armor, his shield, with them through life To protect them, often not knowing who or what is the enemy Until something or someone shows them. Then up comes the shield, the armor... and deeper is buried the beauty within, Armor becoming keeper of the treasure, the truth of being, the spirit lies deep inside, buried behind successful attempts at protection.
To know and understand that truth of being, that beautiful spirit within, that remains the goal.
To help find the road,to take the journey Seeking that treasure in ourselves and others Looking within.... Then we could say we know... Our Fellow Man.

About this poem:
Not truly a poem... sharing thoughts on knowing ourselves and others by looking within.
Hi, avias, To know and understand that truth of being, that beautiful spirit within, that remains the goal. And, a worthy goal, indeed. Thanks for sharing.

Deep thinking, and I believe it has emerged from past experiences, some of which have burned impressions that, though hidden, will remain within your psyche. Thinkers in our world should be aware of competition emerging. This is a great write, keep up the good work, very astute. Gosh girl, I'd like to know you better, any chance? studecar
Agreeing with the deep thinking… As for what concerns our relations with our fellow men, the anguish in our neighbour’s soul must break all precept. All that we do is a means to an end, but love is an end in itself, because God is love.

very deep thinking my friend, most of us keep our armor well sealed so much so that they hide from the world and wallow in there own pain weather it be self inflicted or caused by others. A lot of truth in this wonderful write.

Inspiring piece it is, Avias. Each experience in each life is a litmus for the self within...Chisom
Chisom....we have much to learn about each other, starting from the center, the beauty of the spirit! :

Avias, This divine essence: " true love" exists. Yes it does. Certainly in the thoughts of "the evoled" and within that domain, the energy to dispense it, is created....Chisommikelson
Chisom..It's a road of discovery that would lead to "true love"..takes the ability to find the right road and conviction to stay on it.Wish the world had more who were looking. ...Avias

Thanks for posting this very important message.
Each individual is unique, and yet, there is a commonality underlying that uniqueness - our humanity.
In discovering one's uniqueness, one also discovers our humanity.
