Steve...If your friend is still able to drive...hope he will get in that truck and do what he loves the most..make those moments count...what is left is precious!

Wish there was something I could say to make it better. Sorry just does not cut it. Death is a part of life. We live to die. I am sorry for you and your friends pain at this time. I found the last line in the poem to be sad. There should always be someone to celebrate ones life.

Steve: Death can be a scary thing and I personally have not faced it for myself; but, I did come face to face with it when my mother was dying in the hospital. If he has family, he needs to gather them close and love on them as well as they love on him. If not, I will pray for your friend that he has accepted God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit (Ghost). If he accepts God, he will never be alone or die alone. Besides, it sounds like he has a good friend in you.
Steve this is up close and personal, my brother dies of Aids in 1989. I watched the horrors of death come slowly to ravish a body of it's life. Everything we once knew disappeared, faded with time.
