Dull the gray wash Is swept clean Flung out a fiery hearth Washed into a restless sea Into the cracked Craggy coast of earth Where laughing gulls Cry in fear or hunger Swoop in crooked flight Stare at a vacant shore Lifeless as a dessert Covered in smoking ash Waiting no more

After the eruption envisioned on a remote oceanic island....
Yankee...The subject matter speaks of lifeless, vacant shore...yet from this, in time, new life grows, beginning the age old cycle as destruction clears the path and life grabs a foothold.....Avias ::
