Grim Reaper

I see you laying there sleeping. Looking so innocent. So unknowing.
I am here for what is mine. I should not be hesitating just taking.
But you look so sweet.
I wonder was there ever time I looked like that. Or have I always been what I am.
I am so sorry this is how we are to meet.
So sorry you will not be waking.
You are dreaming I see your smile.
So human, so beyond thoughts.
I have lingered quite awhile.
Time you should not have bought.
I come closer to you now. I feel your breath upon my face.
I take my hand and lay it across your heart in place.
I feel you fight but I must not let go.
I am the grim reaper. The angel of death.
It is my destiny to take your life to the end.
To a place only I can show.
Come with me and leave this behind.
For I am not to be feared I am kind.
