CHOICE
Poetry, a personal diary of life
Tracks a pathway, unlike a dice
thrown at random, as fate decides
Statement real, or in dreams ride
Each poem written, a story is told
Emotions-hopes, are owned not sold
Words in text, come from life-soul
Telling stories, making us whole
Passion and sadness, merge as one
End a journey, after thoughts run
Weaving images, with love and fear
Explaining our feelings, held near
Hostile confrontation, an open lace
Showing characters, of masked face
Truth is hidden, slipped in cracks
Reader decides, if uplifting facts
All read something, in written text
Some seek answers, believe complex
Others in simplicity, enjoyment mode
Words with feeling, no mystery code
So everyone who reads, must decide
If like or dislike, decision slide
To personal enjoyment, we may feel
In-sense-understanding, words seal.
