Snails

Bought some snails today
Two to be exact
I asked
What about those smaller skinny ones
How much are those?
Those are for free
Why?
Because they produce asexually
And really multiply
I said I guess I'll stay away from the free snails
Then I said where are the ferrets?
We no longer carry ferrets, but the rest are over there at the end of that aisle
So I watched the guinea pigs and hamsters
One was trying desparately to get out
He wasn't happy
He wanted to be free
Not in a zoo for people to stare at him and make him feel weird inside
Animals have feeling too and most should not be in cages
Especially chimps
I really feel sorry for gorillas too

About this poem:

I went to Petsmart to get two snails to replace the ones that had died recently. I bought them on Palm Sunday. They lived a little over four months. The woman said I should feed them algae tablets daily and they should live longer. We'll see what happens.

I hate seeing animals in a cage. I had a couple fish one time
did not know a whole about them One mornin.they just flipped u0side down and died. I learned about fish then and any anima
I was to give a home to. Always keep some old water in fish tank when changing fish water. I enjoyed the informative aspect of this poem.

ladygwen123, thanks for your comment. I go to Petsmart because they take better care of their fish. The Walmart snails I got only lasted one month.

Martina, thanks for your comment. You always have such positive messages for me, much appreciated. It would be nice to just eat and swim around. I would prefer to eat and fly around, but I would never keep a bird, I want them to be free.
