TO MY BROTHERS WHO HAVE PASSED ON; BUT THE MEMORIES I SHALL ALWAYS LOOK UPON; ANTHONY; AT AGE FIVE; HE TAUGHT ME HOW TO TIE MY SHOES; HOLD MY HEAD HIGH; AND NEVER GET THE BLUES! DOMINICK; WHO BOUGHT ME MY FIRST BOWLING SET; TAUGHT ME HOW TO KEEP SCORE; AND NOW MY AVERAGE IS 220; AND HIS TEACHINGS I SHALL NEVER FORGET! RALPHIE; HE TOOK ME TO A STORE TO GET ME A BIKE, BUT THE MERCHANT SAID; SIR; YOU HAVE NO CREDIT; SO GO TAKE A HIKE! TWO WEEKS LATER; HE TOOK ME BACK; HANDED THE MERCHANT CASH; AND HE TOOK THE BIKE, OFF THE RACK! YES; I"M CRYING AS I"M WRITING THIS; BUT TO MY THREE GREAT IDOLS, I SAY; THANKS FOR EVERYTHING; AND I"M SEALING THIS POEM; WITH A SPECIAL KISS!

About this poem:
NO MATTER HOW MUCH FAME IS IN STORE FOR ME; I CAN NEVER MATCH THE LOVE AND GENEROSITY OF THESE THREE!
Always remember what mattered the most. Fame and success can be very lonely. To me, these guys were more important in life then any famous person. They took the time to help others and guide others. Take care Travis.
Trav...It's a real tribute to your brothers as you share this post...I can feel your pride for them and love for what they have done in the past. Family in your case has enriched your life...this is as it should be ....Harriett
VERY very very nice indeed... touched by your poem. your poem took me down the memory lane.specially this line..TO MY BROTHERS WHO HAVE PASSED ON; BUT THE MEMORIES I SHALL ALWAYS LOOK UPON; ANTHONY; AT AGE FIVE; HE TAUGHT ME HOW TO TIE MY SHOES; HOLD MY HEAD HIGH; AND NEVER GET THE BLUES... may be my brother is somewhere high up in the Western pure land of Amitabha. Sukhavati the land of bliss. i always miss you my brother .THank you WILDANDREADY for sharing such a nice poem.
220 is impressive. I remember back when I had to keep score and only a few like me knew how to do it. I wish I had had such brothers, the ones I have don't come around, but I do have some nice memories of them.
