Rustling leaves and birds That's all I could here As I sat on the roadside Not far from the tier The canopy of greens Sparkled with delight As the sun burst through The blanket of mist holding tight The odd roar of a vehicle As it made it's way along The narrow winding road To the heavens and beyond Moss covered ancient trees With an orchid or two Leered out of the canopy With an amazing view Peering down the valley Like guardians serene Magnificent in stature Beautiful to be seen The air clean and pure And as cool as the night A welcoming breath For lungs uptight I could sit here for eons But alas I must go My memories of Eungella I will nurture and sow........
