Home Sweet House?

As darkness unfolded the old home sighed

Once more another day has come and gone

In the bright light of the sun the eaves lied

But once more the house stood empty alone

No one seemed to notice that no one cared

In the daylight the fresh coat of paint shined

In the dark the rooms laid empty and bare

A home without life how cruel and unkind

The deception of two made into one

Leaving neither completely as a whole

No one lost and no one has really won

A diamond is just an old chunk of coal

Daylight has been summoned a house no more

From blind eyes it is a home as before
