Love is

True love lasts forever.
Like a river it can run deep and slow,
fast and shallow.
Sometimes it bubbles joyfully,
other times lies placid
in deep pools.
Spring showers and winter storms
change the flow
and sculpt the banks,
but the true course is set and eternal.
When memory travels down it’s course
the changing pictures and seasons
are remembered,
treasured
and never forgotten
