The Sentimental One

Missing out on life even when I was young
And now it cuts like a knife
Into the heart of the sentimental one

I don't have a time machine
I can't fix an old old dream
And so I know the constant meaning of being stung
Just like a knife into the heart of the sentimental one

I can't move fast enough to get to where I need to be
And my only contact is someone called me
Memories of words I didn't say hurt upon the tip of my tongue
And words cut like a knife into the heart of the sentimental one

Somehow lonely made a gap and life took a nap
To wake up and wonder where are my friends
And sure as tomorrow begins night time will also come
And be like a knife into the heart of the sentimental one

Don't be discouraged when pain is felt, sometimes it cuts but it heals.
The sun comes out everyday and doesn't let the darkness shine.
Thanks for sharing.

We all at one time or another feel the pain of those words we did not say ~ and now can no longer say and be heard.

Why not let today be a new beginning ~ and say those words to someone. If there's no one special...go up to a stranger on the street and perhaps tell them what a lovely smile they have.

You are still alive and breathing, so it is not too late.

How does the saying go..." Today is the first day of the rest of your life!"

May you find happiness.
