NEED TO TOUCH

Through the sleet, I see the scene
Misty grey, with highlights of green
Dull feeling, rain stings my cheeks
Hints of lights, around clouds peek

In isolated place, alone yet free
Allowed to consider, what I can see
Dips in hillside, where skyline waits
Beckoning to eyes, as if luring fate

Walk into unknown, where dreams hover
Safe to know, the mist won't bother
Allow you to see ahead, need to touch
Plans built slowly, yet wanted so much

thank you Redex...wrote on the spur of the moment, proving I like dull scenery not bright sunshine.....I'm coming home.....LOL

Sounds like a country gal returning home from the big city. Sounds like New York State this week - sleet - misty grey with highlights of green (new grass buried under snow along with tulips and daffodil leaves coming up). Sounds like a place where you can feel free. Happy Beginnings!
