How I Write A Poem

I take an idea
Elusive thoughts, That I am thinking
Try to nail them to the page
Tear the sentences asunder
Write them down,
look and wonder
At the emotion
That they convey
Is that the feeling
Are all the words, revealing
Just what I had to say
Make it longer,
Make it shorter
Check all the lines are in right order
Then post it
On a poetry page

I like to write, I guess that is my motivation for writing. My thoughts go on all day about different things. Sometimes I wish I had a pen and paper available so I could write my ideas down before I forget them when I comes time to write another poem.

Poetry - as in music - sometimes simplicity is best
Elusive beauty plays to well trained ears with gentle caress
The subtlety of our souls may cause us pain; -
When were no longer here - hopefully our thoughts remain.
