We The Godforsaken(lament for dark people)

Centuries ago we were kings and queens,
Rulers over land and beasts all things,
We were blessed and at peace with God and Mother Earth, but we have lost all now all I do is work, Toiling day and night for the little that I earn, fingers to the bone as the clock hands slowly turn, and I think to myself, it's true we are but dust! We dark Children of the Damned why has God forsaken us? All that we have lost yet still we hold belief that "somebody will answer me, someone knows my need" and so desperately we cling to the one thing we have left, hoping God still cares about us even if there's no one else, but for too long now, our pitiful tearfilled cries, have fallen on deaf ears and our pleas have been denied!
