Streaks of pink and gold in the sky
Sparkling silver intricate spider webs
As the shining sun bids night goodbye
Waking the inhabitants from their beds
Songs drifting from high in the trees
While the Fairies bathed in the dewdrops
Glitters like bright diamonds on gossamer wings
Green frogs on lily pads hopped
Spirits were high as the new day began
Clean and fresh promising everything anew
Colorful dragon and butterflies flitted over the land
Sipping the nectar of the colorful flowered jewels
Sprinkling on each a touch of fairy dust mist
Yellow Buttercups, Pansies, Roses and Violets
Giving each of them a light kiss
Then flying on through the golden sunlight
Another day in the Glen had begun
Bringing a new promise from the morning sun.

Are you kidding ~ You have truly painted
a picture with words of the fairies Glen!
This poem is a picture for the
the beholder ~

Don't be too hard on yourself.
The beautiful imagery of Nature you have painted in this piece is exquisite.
I know you strive for rhyme and metre in your poems, as you have stated elsewhere.
This may require a fair amount of effort compared to the free verse format.
Do not be put off by the number of comments your poems receive.
What is important is that you give it your best effort,
as I know you seek to do.
Take Care.
glow with you.
What a beautiful peaceful read this Sunday evening Magical...
