'Twas a while before Christmas For me and my spouse. She searched all the catalogs, And I scrolled the mouse.
We're looking for something That we thought would do, As great Christmas presents For each of you.
Try as we did 'twas not to avail, Though all of the stores Had wonderful sales.
Yet - just before Christmas We're still with all doubts, As to what sort of gifts We are thinking about.
We pondered and stewed About what we could do, To find the right thing That would suit you.
What if it's something That you'd never use, Or - 'cause you have it- What could we choose?
It's such a dilemma, It's caused much concern, We wanted it personal, And not for return.
The decision - quite taxing, We're at our wits end, Please don't be offended - With something to spend.

About this poem:
I lived this poem about eight years ago, and , the poem just popped in my mind. I printed a picture of Santa along with the poem and put some cash in an envelope and everyone was happy. They had a Merry Christmas ! studecar
Works for me! I do gift cards to favorite stores - not hassle - no returns - can use any time of the year or season! The thing is being remembered (just a card or hug for me) and not the money. Commercial Christmas is not the reason for the season. We all know what the reason is.
