"Desire of The Mind'
I know not if men get the same cravings as do women ~
I know not if they sit and longingly pine
for the touch of that someone special ~
I know not if in their minds they ponder
what it would feel like if she suddenly ~
The woman they care so deeply about ~
Crawled into their arms ~
And nestled gently yet firmly against their manly chests.
I know not if they could actually feel the warmth
that is emitted by her pulsating flesh
As it is gently pressed against their own.
Do they think like this ?
Do they have these feelings ?
Do they feel these powerful yearnings
that in actuality are completely non-s*xual ~
But are rather a desire of the mind ~
And a blending of their souls.

I agree that you're probably correct in most cases, but it's impossible to be 100% sure about what may
be waiting behind that next turn in the road.

But how does one reply to such wisdom ~
For is it not true, like a man, that a woman’s
mind and body are constantly in flex!
First she says she does, then she asks does he want it too,
in the same way that she wants it? She wants to do it with her mind,
but with no spur of the moment feelings, no bing, bang, boo,
what are we gonna do actions ~
I am so perplexed at this impossible dream
to read one’s mind, especially a woman’s ~
Never-the-less for her to read a man’s mind.
She must be a crazed crystal gazing gypsy ~ Lol
Let’s see, cravings for Turkey & Stuffing, Hay rides, soft lights with
a soft cushioned couch with a soft woman of sorts and later a good warm woman
to turn the covers down & snuggle next to him with cravings of closeness
& affection ~ It’s all in her mind, but does he think the same way?
Gee, I think it has something to do with what’s in their bodies ~ Lol
A woman’s mind is puzzling even to her as it
changes so constantly ~ Lol

I too think all the comments add much to the enjoyment of our poems.

After 50 years of not really understanding what Prose is about, I have finally gotten an understanding about this written form from what is here.
Then again, it may be the loss of or change in punctuation in the form presented here that has changed my reading of your poem.

I think that true friendship is the key for the building of ANY lasting relationship.
I have a male friend who I love deeply.
He loves me the same.
But after 10 years ~ we have not so much as kissed, nor will we ever.
We love each other ~ but we are NOT IN LOVE with one another.
I know this will last forever!
I can only hope that the relationship I have with the man I AM IN LOVE WITH ~ Will also last forever.
