Tell Tale Lines

Tell Tale Lines

In the smoke filled fiery heart, hides passion
Every thumping beat pumping desire for her
Wishing for the warm light of her eyes to light up the midnight star filled sky
Having met her enriched his life and impassioned him

The bubble of his life now expanded because of her
He tried to be patient and balanced, trying to understand the impossible
Hoping she would help them both be at ease with life
Driving blindly alone through this painful misadventure, without knowing it

He feels weak and as if drunk with it all, unsteady on his feet
His own love, passion, blind faith and desire for life did this to him
Sharing them with someone, who then used and took what they wanted
Using all that he was, throwing a leftover broken shell into the gutter

A broken hearted man turned away now shrouded in self doubt
The walls of what was his life cracking, crumbling, now scattered into dust
Falling through the midnight darkness, blindly stumbling, now nothing but a shadow
The misery of emotion weighs him down, while going aimlessly in relentless circles

This once happy life, now full of pain, still carrying with him the hope that died
His soul and heart ravaged, torn apart, ground into nothingness, not even dust
What is now left, is an empty void, a numbness of total loss, he is full of confusion
His craggy lived in face, now carrying a few more extra tell tale life lines.
