The Starlight Ride
Didn't see it coming,
As I made my way along that cold dark street.
That night, from the bar.
Where we'd all had some laughs, some drinks,
Truly,
never saw it coming,
No time to even run.
Before they caught me.
They pounced on me like rabid dogs,
Handcuffed, my hands, behind my back and threw me into their car,
And before I could even, catch my breath..knew what was going on,
they were telling me to run,
Into a field, ice covered, and my heart sank and I knew ,
But first they took my shoes..
This is what they call the Starlight drive,
Heard tales of brothers ,
Never coming back alive,
They Took my coat, they took my shoes.
Left me out here,
To die, and I thought for sure ,So,
This is what is meant by, The Starlight Tour.
As I huddled,in the freezing wind,
icicles formed on my body,
My body went numb, as did my mind,
And Alas.
I prepared to die..
And in my last waking moments
,I recall thinking,
Of my baby sister,
And, how she must have pleaded,
for her life.
On that fateful night,
as she endured
,,The starlight tour..
The Lord he works in mysterious ways,
There was a power company,close
by, let me come in and stay,
And one of the guys,
drove me back into town,
My hands, and indeed my whole body,
was purple,
They thought I was dead,
But by the grace of God., I'm Alive,
I survived~!
Survived their, Starlight tour,
My little sister, wasn't so lucky,
They found her face down in the snow..
And you know how cold it gets out there in Saskatoon.....
They drove her to the field, and then, told her to run,
But, first, they took her shoes...
And they told her to run..
And do enjoy, your Starlight tour..... +
