FREEDOM

I'm the product of Mum and Dad
Memories good, as well as sad.
I know I'm different, because I'm me
From a mixed lifestyle, I see

Mum wasn't raised, a city girl
Though laughter- lights, caste a spell
In rural settings, she'd hate being alone
Look for a way, to get home

Dad was different, the rural life
Gave him pleasure, not city life
Though he'd stood, feet in both
In City noise, he'd pick the coast

Raised on the border, London town
Like Dad I'd cope, no need to frown
Feet in both, city and country
Nature I love, not city money

There's an exceptions, has to be
For bling-dancing, became me
Until I escaped, to isolated place
Farm life, in maturity I faced

I'm lucky, because I have
Life on both sides, neither bad
I can appreciate urban-rural
Making me happy, my life pull

To experience, you must accept
Life different, sanity kept
Content-secure, boundaries known
Allows freedom, yet I can roam.......

About this poem:
we are products of genes and nurturing, but which parent I favour......a little bit of both...but nature refreshes me as a city wears me down...... balance
