The Prisoner

I live in a jail
I made it myself
From bars of fear
And walls of nervousness
It has locks
Made of rejection fears
And phobias
And hangups

Can I break free?
Well of course yes
At any time I choose

I am a prisoner of myself
A number I picked
A cell I made
A padded one of safety
And of warmth
Where no one can reach me
Or touch me
Or hurt me

My selected isolation
My personal reality
This jail of my own design
That I hate
But fear to leave

About this poem:
Inspired by personal feelings and also identifying with the end truth revealed at the climax of the 60suk tv series 'The Prisoner' where the late Patrick McGoohan, as 'number six' discovers he is ultimately not a prisoner of 'The Village' but of HIMSELF...as are we all...?

Hmmm Ronnie

Draw a mental line around the Ronnie that is this prisoner, when you visit him be amazed that he shrinks every time. Eventually there's no-one to visit. :)
Well that's what I would do.

Yes, when we to refuse society to imprison we ourselves in prison. But I to consider, let there will be a lonely prison, than mental anguish from society.
