~ Our Cafe' ~
Our Café’
I wet a tear for a passing Connecting Singles Poet
who pleasured the many with his wit & comments.
A regular decent guy that thought in & out of the box.
He posted an estimate of 722 Poems on C/S.
~ His comments regarding his “Exotic Tea Brew”
& his hanging, swaying bamboo cages with wild women
on Café’s island ~ was entertaining to say the least.
It was a serial adventure awaiting the next chapter
& we awaited on the tips of our toes.
His ongoing chatter regarding comments about his poems
were enjoyed by most ~ and answered by many ~
Lucky are the few to be remembered so well as the
final curtain falls.
Café’ may your next act and adventure in the world beyond,
be worthy of a Poet such as you ~
Your friends on Connecting Singles and I will miss you
too!

I love the poets' tributes for him, including all that you've written here.
What touches me the most is:
"A regular decent guy that thought in & out of the box."
Just perfect... and love that you included "...thought in & out of the box", as the 'out of the box' thinking that was one of the facets of Jim, of course, made much of his poetry & comments so fun, as someone mentioned, better than going to see a stand-up comic. But that thinking also brought about so much inspiration... even in the poem "Depression". It was just fabulous.
Thanks again, JimEee, for using your own wonderful talents to write this cherished tribute to dear Cafe. (Wow, it's been quite a few days since I teared up while writing a comment on a poet's tribute or even some of Cafe's poems I've recently written on.)

(Cafe, Still... missing you so much. I know you're thoroughly enjoying ALL there is... maybe you've met Paul, the apostle, you wrote so wonderfully about, many others you read of for so many years, and loved ones who went before you. And I know you look forward to seeing us again, along with family and friends outside of CS that you have. I'm sure you don't need reminding... but you still have time for everything your heart could ever desire, just as I wrote that you'd someday have ALL ETERNITY... Love you, always, Cat & Chris)

I am pleased that you wrote this for him
I think my mourning is not fully over yet
but enough for me to read all the tributes to Cafe
though I still have these tears flowing uncontrollably
but it's a pleasant one .
Still as long as you ,me and the rest of poet corner remembers him .. He will know that we love and miss him dearly coz the angels in heaven will tell him !
Thought if I know him too well ..he will be making his castle and dungeon for the beautiful maidens up there ...
I don't know Shakespeare but I know Jim Cafe and he is happy that we have him in our thoughts and heart .
