Peak Moments

Peak Moments

I was alone
the day so plain
til his image passed mine.
His sunshine caught me
& a sweetness of love
swept over me.
It kept me for a while.

......................

When all seemed dark & desolate,
she arrived as a friend
from somewhere,
that I thought I'd never see.

......................

Twenty times a month I
cover her up & say goodnight.
Tonight I became her
& the love
had me frozen in time.

........................

Communication.
It is the biggest thief.
It'll steal your ideas,
words,
& feelings.
Then,  offer nothing in return.

........................

A song plays each morning
she walks in.
It's an opening to the day.
She doesn't even know it.
