Well Martina, I am in. I will bring a few lumpia for the ball and perhaps offer to read some of his great poems.
I am sure he will be delighted and smiling at all of us where he is at.

Hi Rapture!
With you leading the choir with some Irish ballads to start, Cafe would certainly consider it the most sublime start a party/wake could ever have... as would, I believe, all the attendees.
As for me, I have always loved music, but could never sing. That's something I want in heaven - a great singing voice. Thank you for your thoughtful post and for being a gracious host.
(I don't know much about parties & wakes, esp. online ones, but that never bothered Cafe, so I'm gonna contribute in the only way I can think of for me. It will mostly be part of the lit fire... then a little more quiet. So I hope it goes along inbetween your beautiful voice & choir and the beautiful poet readings, along with what others more knowledgeable than me bring...)

p.s.My pc has been more troublesome today than it's been in a long time - in fact, worse than ever, period! So if some of my submissions get delayed, you'll understand why. (Hehe...if that's you, dear Cafe Jim, then behave! Just Kidding!! Love you, always)

First, an intro - excerpt re a comment to Cafe - from Cafetwo2010's poem "Hard Time":
"...Yeah, yeah, yeah, I caught it on Oct.13... but I'd already posted the aforementioned... & felt I'd... already commented too many times(maybe breaking some kinda rule or something). But, hey, if you can defy those who'd begrudge you 'The Silly Duck Who Could', then how hard could it be for me to defy any rule-breaking chargers that be? You're right... a piece of cake. (Which I'm gonna ask about: some chocolate cake & the promised extra mashed potatoes & gravy I didn't take you up on yet... Yum!! at Rapture's Sublime Castle Ball.)
She's behaving at the moment, but when that ball gets into full swing, you know you'd love her not to - in other words, you're ready to hear someone say, "Oh, behave, Rapture", with you looking on with a big and thinking, "I knew there ain't no way she was gonna behave" - Yeah!!" Yep!
...also your comment I was replying to, Cafe Jim.... "Ty Bill' If I could cheer England but for a moment..You guys gave us the British invasion..how could we ever top that? Yeah, yeah, yeah. " - just wanted you to know how clever & cool I thought ..it was, and.. add some more.. lyrics: "...she loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah; with a love like that you know you should be glad, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!!!!!"
AND a li'l change in the lyric to add just for this special day(days, more likely from what I recall of those castle parties )
Dear Cafe Jim: "We love you, Yeah, yeah, yeah We love you, yeah, yeah, yeah, We love you, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!!!

Martina,
When I saw this in my CS Video list while adding the Beatles' videos, a certain word caught my eye - the 1st word in my comment about this video when I had added it - 'Sublime'. So, I brought it along - not only sublime, but the words, I think, are pretty appropriate, as well:
Could we sing a Hymn or 2? I could open with a prayer and close with a prayer. This is a virtual part - correct? Otherwise physical travel to Ireland is not a possibility. Oh well.

Jim's Mountainside painting - from 2007
Martina, I was thinking possibly that forest setting could be found, just beyond those first trees.

Special brew - lol Well, not exactly... I stick pretty much to water, filtered, if possible. But I can see how it could, maybe, just possibly appear that way
Though, if referring to the comment re "...behave", I was fully alert at that point in time
Now at the ball, would love the lumpia(I looked up the definition, and I believe it's the same as spring rolls - LOVE those!!) As for that special brew... need to find out EXACTLY what's in it before taking even a sip, b/c I get easily lost. With all the rooms added to that castle over the last few years, my husband would prob. think I was in the bellydance one with the waterfalls... when it's more likely I'd end up in a bamboo cage courtesy of "Bamboo Elvis"( laughed so much when I saw Cafe sign that on a comment - think it was on JimEee's poem)
If referring to the forest behind the first few trees comment(and making me appear ), I actually didn't notice the VERY FIRST TREES which are bare - meant the first with green on them in the middle of the painting
Have a great time, Martina!! (I'll try to refrain from anything further, but do hope many more will come along!!) xoCat

Hi, Rapture, Capture,
I didn't know Mr. Café, but from all your comments/few poems I read of his, he seemed like a humble soul. I'd love to join the party, think it will be Great Craic!
It does in fact include the ticket, and all amenities. ....Kathy. I would love for all of the dynamics to fall in line for it to actually happen, but it is way too complex..it is not impossible on my side, the difficulty lies in the rest of the unprepared. ......
