A Robot Speaks Out

I am here
I am here to stay
I took your job away
I don't have human emotions so I don't care
It is only going to get worse
Cars that drive themselves as well as trucks
Factory jobs being done by robots
Fast food workers being replaced by my cousins
Cousins who don't need time off
Machines who work 24 hours a day 365 days a year
We don't even care if we get Christmas off
We don't want a pay raise because we are happy to be slaves
Free labor
That is what our bosses want
And we never complain
What are you going to do to have money?
We could care less
Even less than your former bosses

About this poem:
I was watching an Amazon video of their factory floor and all I could see was about three people.

Hi Mac, they keep telling us that robots will never take the place of people. There seem to be more and more of them doing the work of humans. Enjoyed the somewhat worrying read. Always enjoy your take on things. Your friend....Mike.
